A packed Corcaghan Community Centre, made up of community leaders from all over Co. Monaghan, unanimously adopted the PPN’s draft Community Well Being Statement at the PPN’s Summer Plenary Event last night, 16th June.
The Wellbeing Statement lays out the things which the community sector feels are important to ensuring that the people and communities of Co Monaghan continue to enjoy a high quality of life.
The Statement draws on information gathered at previous PPN events in the spring and on data collected in an on-line survey, which revealed that the vast majority of people feel they have a high quality of life, and see a future for themselves in Co. Monaghan. The survey also revealed the issues that people felt need to be sorted, and the aspects of Monaghan culture which should be nurtured into the future.
