ESB ‘Energy for Generations’ Fund – grant aid for groups working on education, homelessness or suicide prevention

Energy for Generations Fund

The ESB, as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility programme, allocates approximately €1m per year in grant aid to community and voluntary groups.  The focus of the fund is reviewed every three years. At present, the focus is on three areas, namely:

  • Suicide Prevention
  • Alleviation of Homelessness
  • Education

Decisions are made every quarter regarding applications. Most grants are in the order of €10,000. From time to time  grants of up to €40,000 are awarded, and 2 grants of up to €100,000 will be considered each year.
