We have been contacted by the ESB Windfarm Community Fund who wish to notify communities living within a 5km radius of the Mountain Lodge wind farm in the Cootehill area that the Mountain Lodge Wind Farm Community Fund for 2016 is open for applications until October 27th.
This may apply to some groups around Lisnalong, Dartrey etc. You can find a map of the area which falls within the 5km radius here
The Wind Farm Community Fund intends to make funding available for community and voluntary organisation projects which will benefit the wider community located within a radius of 5km from Mountain Lodge wind farm in Co. Cavan.
This year, applications will be made online, which they hope will make the application process more straightforward and will help to get contracts out to successful applicants by the New Year. Full details, and a guide to how to apply, are available at www.windfarmcommunityfunds.ie.
