County Monaghan Volunteer Awards
The 2018 Monaghan Integrated Development/Monaghan Volunteer Centre “County Monaghan Volunteer Awards” are now open for nominations. The awards are your chance to nominate a volunteer or group who really makes a difference and let us recognise their hard work and commitment.
This year there are four categories:
• The Volunteer(s) of the Year Award recognises the voluntary work of an individual(s) over 18 years of age.
• The Young Volunteer(s) of the Year Award recognises the voluntary work of an individual(s) under 18 years of age.
• The Volunteer Lifetime Achievement Award recognises the voluntary work of an individual(s) over an extended period of time.
• The Volunteer Group Award recognises the achievement of a non-profit group in attracting and retaining a wide range of volunteers and directing their efforts for the benefit of others.
If you know a person or a group of people who you feel has made a special contribution to your community or to a local charity or non-profit group, why not nominate them today?
There is a prize fund of €300 for each category and we will consult with the winners to buy them a prize for the benefit of their group. It could be a piece of equipment, heating oil or paint for their premises, food for a group event etc.
Nomination forms and guidelines are available at https://www.volunteermonaghan.ie/index.php/news/local-news
or by contacting Sinead Keenan or Grace Sherry at Monaghan Volunteer Centre 047-72191 or emailing info@volunteermonaghan.ie
Closing date is 5pm Monaghan 27th August
